It’s beginning to feel a lot like spring… Eventually.
If you’re anything like us we’ve had a turbulent spate of weather which we can only thank the ‘Beast From The East’ for. Alas like most we have survived, life may have gone on hold for a couple of days but normal practise has resumed. And if you’d like to be impressed, we hosted and executed our functions with the pizazz we always do!
Anyhow, this a short line to say how much we’re looking forward to the summer and the Great Exhibition of the North 2018 #GetNorth2018. “A free summer-long celebration of the North of England’s pioneering spirit. The country’s biggest event in 2018, it will pack a programme of amazing exhibits, live performances, displays of innovation, new artworks and unforgettable experiences into 80 days.” There will be three ‘Trails’ Art, Design and Innovation to showcase the best of what the North has to offer. The Great Exhibition of The North has received great backing from the BBC, they will be supporting via sound, broadcasting in any way they can!
There was an impressive turn out for the Exhibition’s Industry Launch (that’s what I’d like to call it), at the Sage Gateshead, we were played in by The Northern Symphonic Orchestra and the BBC’s Steph McGovern introduced us to those behind the Exhibition and to those taking part. There we were given more details of what’s to come, but The Great Exhibition of The North it still remains somewhat shrouded with a little mystery.
