We all know that weddings can be stressful for any bride, but there is no need to stress as one of the top wedding venues in Newcastle has complied a checklist for you. Take a look below:

  1. Organisation

Organisation is the key to a stress-free wedding day. No matter how big or small the wedding may be, organisation will help your day run as smoothly as possible. In order to do this, make a rigorous to-do-list in a logical order so you can tick off items on the list without missing anything out. Remember to add a deadline date as this will help reassure you that progress is being made as you tick items off the list.

  1. Break in your wedding shoes

This may have not even crossed your mind but this will benefit you and let you enjoy your day without the blisters! Break your shoes in around the house, so your special day isn’t ruined by your feet.

  1. Keep your eyes open

Take inspiration from everywhere you go. Not just the wedding blogs you are reading, but outside, in shops and restaurants. Keep your eyes open for anything that you think will give your wedding that individual touch.

  1. Pamper with your bridesmaids

Make sure you take a well-deserved break from all the wedding preparation, and take time out to pamper yourselves. There is nothing like a good catch up with your closest girls!

  1. The night before

Though you probably will want to go to sleep at 2am making sure everything is perfect. Don’t worry and try to get as much sleep as you possibly can! Wedding days are emotional and can take all the energy out of you by the night. So, make sure you get as much sleep as possible before the big day.

  1. Earn some brownie points

Make sure you ask someone to collect spare copies of the programmes and menus from the ceremony. Give one to the mother and mother in law, and you will definitely earn extra brownie points! It’s also a nice keepsake that will remind you of your day. Many brides like to keep a wedding box with some keepsakes from the day and your menus and programmes can be added in.

  1. Week before your wedding

Contact your key wedding suppliers a week before your wedding day, to provide you with the peace of mind that everything has been taken care of. This will also provide you with any last-minute queries you may have and double check everything is in order and correct.

  1. Take time out

On the day it’s easy to get lost in the moment and not spend quality time with your new partner. So even if it is just for 10 minutes, make sure you get to spend time with your new partner to take in the whole day.

  1. Remember why you are celebrating

This is ultimately about you and your partner spending the rest of your life together. So if a zip does break or you’re running a little behind schedule, it isn’t the end of the world and as long as you and your partner have a great day, that’s the most important thing!

  1. Don’t be afraid of help

If you feel like you need that extra pair of hands to help you with the preparation and planning the details of the big day, then there are plenty of wedding planners available to help guide you.
